My phone’s been beeping for a new kind of notification the past few days. My friends and I can’t seem to get enough of sending each other quirky videos over Skype Qik, and we’re having loads of fun that sometimes we don’t send texts or make calls anymore! Looks like it’s going to be “Goodbye chat” and “Hello video-chat!” for us for now.
Skype Qik is basically a video-messaging app that lets you instantly send video messages to your friends (or group of friends) in your phone.
I’ve tried a few apps before that allowed me to send videos with my buddies, but I’m having more fun with Skype Qik right now because I get to be more creative and expressive given that you can make videos up to 40 seconds long. I can already imagine this becoming pretty useful when something awesome is happening around me, and I wanted to share it with my friends. Spontaneous adventures and experiences happen all the time, but you know how things are these days – Pictures or it didn’t happen. Now to make things more believable, I tell my friends: “#QikOrItDidntHappen!” A video should be more convincing, yeah?

This is great though mabigat yung app but very useful siya especially you have family out of the country or where ever they are.
Even if you're not out of the country, it's still a fun way to connect with friends if you give it a shot 😉
