How to Make Kori Kohi (Recipe): I’m sure that many of you are like me, who need a cup of coffee to jump start their day. But now that it’s suuuper hot in the Philippines, the usual hot cup of coffee just won’t do! This is why recently, I’m enjoying my coffee iced (yep, even in the morning). Or if you want a smoother, rounder taste, you can also opt for a Cold Brew!
I’m using this cold brew from Default Cafe Pub to make Kori Kohi – which is basically coffee ice cubes served with milk! Follow the recipe below to learn how to make your own Kori Kohi at home:
Kori Kohi Recipe
Ingredients
- Cold Brew (I used the Mars Cold Brew from Default, which you can order online. If you don’t have cold brew, the usual black coffee cooled at room temperature will also do).
- Fresh Milk
Procedure: How to Make Kori Kohi
- Pour the cold brew into the ice tray or ice molds.
- Freeze the coffee for 8 hours or more, until it’s frozen.
- Place the coffee ice cubes in a glass. Gently pour the fresh milk and stir.
- You may add sugar or sweetener if preferred.
Some Kori Kohi recipes use warm milk, but I prefer mine iced so I use chilled milk instead. I first tasted Kori Kohi from UCC Clockwork. I ordered it not just because I’m curious but because it’s Instagrammable as well lol.
Default Cafe Pub has other creative mixes available in the online shop. If you’re feeling adventurous with your coffee, try Baldur (cinnamon cold brew), Loki (chaos berry cold brew), and Freya (berry mocha cold brew). Another interesting mix that I found is the Cherub (milk tea soju).
