If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll know that I’m fond of going on foodtripswith my friends. Other than dedicating one whole day (or dayS!) to restaurant-hopping and taste-testing oh so glorious food, you also get to go on an adventure with your best buddies as you explore different places in the quest to find great-tasting grub.
If there’s one thing I learned from these trips, it’s that it could take you several minutes (and sometimes even hours) of walking, driving, and navigating before you find the perfect spot to have your meals. Hence, it’s important that you’re dressed comfortably for the search – it’s a “trip” after all.
Here is my usual get-up when I’m on a foodtrip with my foodie-friends:
Form meets function with this get-up that’s why I often follow this formula when a foodtrip is planned. Thing is, it works so well for me that I realized I’ve been wearing mostly the same set of clothes every time I’m on a foodie quest!
After this realization, I looked into my cabinet and tried to figure out why I haven’t been very creative with what I’m wearing. This made me decide that I have to update my wardrobe, and to do so I have to let go of the old ones!
I started looking for the most convenient way to sell pre-loved clothes online. This is when I stumbled upon an app called Shopee – a shopping platform where users can buy and sell online at no extra cost. It sounded easy enough, not to mention FREE, so I gave it a shot.
After downloading the app on my Android phone and creating an account, I snapped a picture of the clothes I’m selling, uploaded it, set the prices and shipping fee (it’s affordable, of course!), and then I’m done! Easy peasy!
Other than being a seller, the Shopee app also let’s you browse through the items sold by other users. I looked up the clothes and accessories under the “His Fashion” section and I ended up taking screenshots and mental notes of more than a few of them. Here are some of the items I liked:
I was pretty impressed with the quality of the items being sold at Shopee. I was half expecting for most of the items to be second-hand pieces like the ones I was selling, but it turns out that a lot of the entries were brand new ones at unbelievably affordable prices!
Given the ease and convenience that the app offers, I can tell that it would bring the mobile shopping revolution here in the Philippines. The best part is that it connects thousands of buyers and sellers to each other, answering the many issues online shoppers are faced with today like unresponsive buyers/sellers, unpaid items, and simply unreliable listings that results in unsuccessful deals.
I’m getting the hang of using the Shopee app that I might actually learn to let go of more of the stuff I’m no longer using. Check out my account on Shopee and lemme know if you like anything 🙂
