Nono’s Best Sellers – A Review: Nono’s restaurant has been around for quite some time. I remember the first time that I ate in this restaurant was at their branch in The Podium (Ortigas) when my friends raved about Nono’s menu best seller – The Chocolate Oblivion Cake. It’s been a long time since my last visit, so I headed to their BGC branch, the one in Uptown Mall, to try what’s new in their menu.
Nono’s BGC Review: Best Seller Items from the Menu
We’ve asked the gentleman who was serving our table for the best sellers in Nono’s menu. Below are the dishes that he recommended.

Chicken n Waffles
Price: Php 365
Rating: 10/10
This is no doubt one of Nono’s best seller dishes on their menu. I found the waffles interesting because it’s thin and crispy – unlike the fluffy waffles that I’m used to. I was delightfully surprised that this thin version is actually really good! The chicken is flavorful too! Best if you drizzle it in honey that comes with your order.
Pork Belly Balsamic Adobo
Price: Php 465
Rating: 8/10
I usually gravitate toward the pork dishes on a menu, so the Pork Belly Balsamic adobo was an easy choice for me. The pork belly is really tender – I’m guessing because it’s slow-cooked. You can also distinctly taste the balsamic vinegar. As an added bonus – they serve this with adobo rice!
Garlic Steak with Mushroom
Price: Php 745
Rating: 7/10
This is one of the pricer items on the menu but personally, I didn’t like this that much. I found that sauce too salty although to be fair, the USDA beef is really tender. I also think the steak rice is a bit dry.
Truffle Cream Pasta
Price: Php 345
Rating: 10/10
Omg faaave! I actually had this again when I went to Nono’s for the second time in a month, but this time, in another BGC branch. The moment the food is served, you can already smell the aroma of the truffle oil. It’s creamy and rich with parmesan cheese. Definitely a must-try!
Grilled Pork Chop
Price: 485
Rating: 6/10
One of the things you’ll notice first about this dish is how thick the pork chop is. I didn’t enjoy this much though. The pork is thick but I think the flavor didn’t seep into the meat. The mashed potato is just decent.
Chocolate Oblivion
Price: Php 175
Rating: 7/10
I remember that I really liked this cake the first time I tried it. People often say that among all of the items in Nono’s menu, this is the best seller! When I tried it recently though, I didn’t think there was anything special about it. I don’t know if the quality declined, or my taste changed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still chocolatey and decadent, but just isn’t something that I would crave anymore.
Banana Cream Pie
Price: Php 175
Rating: 7/10
Also pretty good but again, not something that you would crave. I think I’d rather eat Banapple’s best seller, the Banoffee Pie. I’m not gonna lie though, I still finished the whole thing.
