A few weeks ago a box was delivered to me, and my eyes widened at the size of the delivery. This box was bigger than the usual tokens and presents that I get for my blog, and my excitement went several more notches higher when I saw what’s inside – Gringo’s special chicken and ribs, all in their saucy and mouthwatering glory!
After I hurriedly took pictures of this extra-special treat (hey, it’s not everyday that somebody surprises you with grilled chicken and ribs), my friends and I gobbled up the whole thing in no time. Here are the goodies that came in the box:
A whole rack of Gringo’s Ribs
The ribs may have dried up a little because of my quick photoshoot, but this didn’t keep it from having its smoky, char-grilled goodness. What it lacks in the slide-off-the-bone department, it made up for with its richness in flavor, and I particularly loved the fact that it had just the right combination of meat and fat. Perfect with Gringo’s signature spicy sauce.
Gringo’s Original Roasted Chicken
Now this you have to have with kanin! Smoky, tender, and juicy are the first things that would come to mind on your first bite. Have it with Gringo’s signature lemon herb sauce for an extra zesty kick.
Gringo’s Southern Spice Chicken
Gringo’s Original Roasted Chicken may already be good but I loved the Southern Spice Chicken even more. The flavor is not limited to the skin and my friends and I didn’t even feel the need to have it with sauce for more flavor. This one has a more pronounced Mexican flavor and each bite comes with a whiff of blended spices. I somehow wished I had the whole chicken to myself!
But then again, don’t just take my word for it. You can now sink your teeth into Gringo’s specialty chicken and ribs at their branch at The Block, SM North. I hear they’re also opening a branch at BGC!
