10 Things I Finally Let Go Through Shopee

You remember how I shared in an earlier post that I should start updating my foodtrip getup? The good news is that I have already taken the first step, and started selling some of my pre-loved clothes and items online through Shopee. It’s only been a few days since I created my account and uploaded my products but I can already say that I’m pretty impressed!

But before I get ahead of myself, allow me to show you the Top 10 items that I finally had the courage to let go:

As you can see, most of the items are clothes. I’m making an effort to let go of the ones that I rarely use so I can make more room for new ones that I would actually wear. All of these are in great condition! You can see me wearing one of the polo-shirts I’m selling and my wrist-watch in the pictures below:

It’s amazing how fast I was able to set up this online shop. Creating an account is a breeze since the interface is user-friendly and easy to understand. Selling your products can also be done in a dash – you just snap a picture of the item, set the product details, give your price, and voila! You’re all set to make your first sale.
A few days after I uploaded my products, I already started getting inquiries for the items on sale. At first I was having doubts if anyone would be interested since these are all second-hand, but I guess the convenience and safety the app offers has made buyers more confident about making deals with the sellers. Check out some of the inquiries on my account:

As I made these transactions with potential buyers, I realized how the Live Chat feature of Shopee is a game-changer. As a seller, responding to the inquiries on my account has been easy and fast since you’re practically “talking” to someone real time – just like how you haggle in a physical store. The best part is that I get a notification every time there’s an inquiry, so there’s lesser chance for me to miss a potential buyer.  Also, you are able to see the profiles of the people you’re chatting with, so you can more or less have more confidence about their interest in your product.
If you’ve got more than a few items you’re no longer using, I suggest that you give this a shot. Creating and browsing listings is FREE, so that should help you in getting over your apprehension with online selling.
On the other hand, if you’re a buyer you can have peace of mind when shopping online with the safety offered by Shopee Guarantee – which guarantees that you’ll get your money back in the unlikely case that you don’t receive your order.
If you’d like to know more about how to be a #ShopeePH buyer or seller, you can learn more about the app through their Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts. Oh, and let me know if you like anything from my lineup, alright? You can even use the Promo Code below to get a discount!
