Ingredients

  • 1 420 gram pack Virginia Krunchy Chicken Nuggets
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 8 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 pinch red chili flakes
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • sesame seeds optional
  • spring onions, chopped optional

Instructions

  • Cook the Virginia Krunchy Chicken Nuggets according to package instructions. Then let it cool. (Pro tip: when using an air-fryer, cook the nuggets for an additional 5 minutes for that extra crunch!)
  • Mix the honey, lemon juice, water, minced garlic, soy sauce, cornstarch, salt, pepper, and chili flakes in a pan. Simmer in low heat for 3 minutes or until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat, then let cool.
  • Pour the honey-lemon sauce over the chicken nuggets. It’s important that you let the sauce cool before pouring it onto the nuggets so that the nuggets don’t become soggy.
  • Toss gently to coat all sides of the nuggets.
  • Optional: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped scallions.
