“The ‘friend zone’ is like the penalty box of dating, only you can never get out. Once a girl decides you’re her ‘friend’, it’s game over. You’ve become a complete, non-sexual entity in her eyes, like her brother, or a lamp.” – Ryan Reynolds in Just Friends.

Yep.  You have probably been there. Remember those cruel words; “You’re the best friend I’ve ever had” or “You’re like a brother to me”?
But you’re not alone. If it’s any consolation to know, then please do know that you are not alone. Apparently a lot of people share the same stories, as evidenced by Ramon Bautista’s web series, “Tales from the Friend Zone”.

Apparently, A lot of my friends are a fan of the series (probably because they can relate to it), and I’m sure they’d be excited to know that it’s going to have another “season”. Ayos Dito PH invited me to their iBall party where they introduced to us “Tales from the Friendzone X (TFTFZX)”. It is about is about falling in and out of love, and the “kilig” buzz in between. The best part? It has all the elements of “kilig”, bitterness, excitement, and hurt that comes with falling in and out of love–hard. (You can view the earlier episodes here).

AyosDito.ph takes pride in the fact that it’s a safe “place” to buy and sell pre-loved items. They make effort to make sure that the deals you find on their site are genuine, even having real people to review posts to prevent spam and scam. Their tagline, “Real People. Real Deals” really does make sense.

I guess Ayos Dito PH was trying to make us feel that inspite of getting friendzoned, ayos lang yan (it’s okay), because there were a lot of ayos stuff in store for us that night. Here is a quick recap of the event in pictures:

I should’ve worn a gangster outfit!

An awesome performance by the La Salle Dance Company (LSDC) Street Dancers

You can tell that things were pretty intense!

The stars of the night were the hosts – Ramon Bautista and Jojo the Love Survivor. There was no dull moment the whole time they were around!

Boys Night Out was also there to make sure everybody had a great time. We can just watch them all on the stage and still have fun!

Beatbox Gor treated the guests to some intense well…. beatboxing.

They gave out a lot of prizes that night! G-Shock Watches, Loudbasstards, VonZipper Sunlasses, Instax Minis, and lotsa other cool stuff! I joined the “Guess the Prize” game to test out my luck.

Sadly, I didn’t win any gadgets from the raffle. But, I did manage to win the “Guess the Prize” contest! I won GCs for this. Guess I still have a bit of luck in me after all!

A good event, of course, must have good food.

And good drinks to go with it!
After the program, it was a night of drinks and partying! I’m pretty sure the open bar served its purpose.

If you’re in the Friend Zone right now, there’s probably not much that anybody else can do since in the end, it’s going to be up to you whether you keep on staying or do something to get out. While you’re contemplating, a little cheering up would help, right?
I hope this helps: AyosDito.ph is giving away 40 Gshock watches and 3 GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition cameras until June 30! Simply search #AyosLangYan on AyosDito.ph and reply to the #AyosLangYan ad with WHY YOU LOVE AYOSDITO.PH!  The more you reply, the more entries you get!

Be sure to take a picture of the look on her face (using the GoPro, of course) when you finally confess. Let’s just hope that she doesn’t say that it would feel like incest.
